About The CCTM
The CCTM scheme is run by CESG (Communications-Electronics Security Group) which is part of the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) in Cheltenham.
The CESG Claims Tested Mark (CCTM) scheme provides a HM Government quality mark to assure public and private bodies of the validity of security functionality claims made by service providers such as Data Eliminate. In more colloquial terms, the CCTM is designed to assure customers that a product or service does ‘what it says on the box’.
Data Eliminate's Secure Destruction of Data on Hard Drives and Storage Media v1.0 service carries the CCTM certification and has been independently tested to ensure that it erases data with a protective marking of HM Government RESTRICTED or below, is fully auditable and meets the environmental disposal requirements.
