Data Security School

Data Security School is a two-day training programme which provides business leaders and senior executives with the basic knowledge and understanding they need to take the lead in formulating and developing their organisation's data security strategy.

Business leaders can thus protect the reputation of their organisation by preventing damaging incidents of data loss and help ensure it is meeting its data protection and environmental responsibilities.

The School is designed for:

  • Directors or managers in larger organisations looking to develop an understanding of Data Security and Data Loss Prevention.
  • Leaders and principals in organisations where there is a lack of sufficient in-house expertise in information security, legal, HR, CSR and PR .

The Data Security School aims to:

  • Access Control and Data Classification
  • IT Structure - Principal Risks Posed by Information Technology and How to Combat Them -covering topics including operating systems, applications, email, internet, remote working, laptops, phones, portable devices, media and back-ups.
  • Legal & HR Considerations including staff recruitment, vetting, contracts, rules of behaviour and discipline, relations with suppliers, subcontractors and customers, intellectual property and privacy policy.
  • PR & Communications -engaging with staff, customers and suppliers in getting stake-holders and staff buy-in, preparing a contingency response to a data security incident, pros and cons of using Data Security as a marketing tool, Data Security and corporate social responsibility.

Rates and Prices
