International Emergency/Rapid Response Data Destruction
Data Eliminate offers a flexible Urgent Overseas Destruction service for computer hard drives and some other types of computer media. The service is specifically designed for customers with assets in international locations who require prompt, professional and certified destruction. This may because a project has come to an end or the customer needs to shut down their operations at short notice.
The destruction service can be witnessed from start to finish by the customer and the sensitive assets never have to leave the security of the customer’s premises. The service does not require mains electrical power and is therefore suitable for environments where such utilities may not be available. Security Cleared engineers are available.
One or more Data Eliminate engineers are despatched to the remote location usually on scheduled civilian airline flights. The destruction equipment is compact, light-weight and can usually be carried as conventional hold luggage on the same aircraft as the engineer is travelling.
The engineer is able to proceed straight from the plane to the destruction location using local transport as available such as a taxi or hire car.
The engineers carry with them a full set of the tools necessary to complete the destruction, barcode scanners and cameras to document the destruction of assets.
Destruction can be carried out in a variety of environments including a meeting room or comms room within an office building. The service is discrete and there is very little noise. Customers are asked to provide a table/workbench and a chair if practicable. If it is available, electrical power will be used but it is not essential.
Data Eliminate engineers even bring with them the materials to protect the customer’s furniture and enable them to tidy-up when destruction is complete!
A recent project for one of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy/consultancy firms in the UK involved Data Eliminate engineers visiting three international cities in the space of a few days to destroy fifty hard drives containing sensitive data. This was done on-site within executive office suites. Once given the go-ahead by the customer’s head office, Data Eliminate made local arrangements with each location where the destruction was witnessed. Fully itemized certificates of destruction were issued to the client within one working day.
